We have prepared some very interesting programmes designed to make our guests’ stay on Brijuni more complete and to introduce them to some of numerous natural, cultural and historical assets of the National Park.

ON THE DINOSAUR TRAIL
Visit to dinosaur tracks and the related dinosaur sculptures built on the site Barban/Vrbanj, and tracks on the site Cape Ploče, part of the educational trail “Zelenikovac. Visitors can learn about the ancient past of the area, various geological phenomena, valuable paleontological finds and some of rich autochthonous Brijuni flora and fauna.

SACRAL BRIJUNI
Sightseeing the Brijuni churches: St. Germaine, St. Mary, St. Peter, St. Anthony and St. Rochus. Sightseeing also includes a visit to the mausoleum of the Kupelwieser family. Visitors can learn about the sacral aspect of the Brijuni past, churches in various stages of preservation and different periods of history ranging from the important archaeological site from the Byzantine era to the renovated church from the beginning of the twentieth century. Each site has a story to tell and each of these peaceful and contemplative spots blends into the landscape.

WITNESSES TO HISTORY – archaeological sites: Byzantine Castrum and Roman villa in Verige Bay
Sightseeing the most important Brijuni archaeological sites during which visitors are introduced to the turbulent history of Brijuni and to its different cultural and historical contexts.

FEEDING THE ANIMALS AT THE ZOO
Guests can participate in the everyday activity of feeding the animals at the ZOO (Safari Park) and study animal behaviour and their characteristics without any danger and without disturbing the animals.

Due to limited capacity, a maximum of three persons may participate in the programme.

PHOTO SAFARI
An evening ride in the park provides the guests with the opportunity to experience and take photographs of the Brijuni nature and wildlife from a very close distance.

AN INTRODUCTION TO SUBMARINE WORLD
It takes place in Javorika Bay (near Saline) where the guests will snorkel and learn about the basics of the Adriatic Sea and the Brijuni submarine world. The experience of the amazing sea world is complete with meadows of marine flowering plants and settlements of the noble pen shell (Pinna nobilis), the largest Mediterranean mollusc. Snorkelling gear is provided.

AN INTRODUCTION TO BRIJUNI PLANTS
Sightseeing with professional guidance in the Brijuni garden. Guests will learn about autochthonous and allochthonous species cultivated in the garden and be informed about the valuable Brijuni vegetation, its distinctive features and its importance.
